This is a lot of pressure.
Not really I am over exagerating, so I figured we’ll just dive right in!
Tonight I am having some friends over for a happy hour girls night and I am going to try to make Deep Fried Snickers!! So needless to say I have done little work today just trying to find the perfect recipe.
My thought is that I want the batter to be slightly salty but still sweet kind of like funnel cake.
Two I’ve found so far:
1 Egg
1 c. Milk
1 TB Veg oil
1 c. Flour
1 Tsp Baking powder
Pinch of Salt
*This one is intriguing because it has the salt which will directly satisfy my need for salty and sweet.
1/4 c. Flour
1/4 c. Powdered Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
6 oz. Club Soda
*What is interesting about this one is the use of club soda and vanilla extract. The combination may prove to satisfy my sweet and salty combination requirement but in a less obvious way.
Since both the batters and the candy need to chill for a bit I am going to perform a taste test with everyone once they are all there. Just have to make sure we don’t get to drunk because I think that may be slightly hazardous once working with the deep fryer.
Booze + Hot Oil = probably not a real smart idea
